Effervescence is the Place to Drink Champagne in the French Quarter!

If you're a fan of bubbles and sparkling wines, Effervescence is the place for you.

Effervescence is an elegant sleek champagne bar with chef inspired sharing plates on the edge of the French Quarter. Located at 1036 N. Rampart Street, this new addition joins the growing momentum for reinvestment on North Rampart.

Options to suit every palate

With bottles of Champagne, cava, prosecco and plenty of other styles of sparkling wine, Effervescence has something for everyone. Effervescence has 18 sparkling wines by the glass plus prosecco on tap. The cellar has 90 full bottles of sparkling wine, ranging from $30 bottles to an $800 bottle of Salon "Le Mesnil" blanc de blanc brut from 2004. For those who don't want bubbles, Effervescence has 9 still wines from Austria, New Zealand, Hungary, New Mexico and the variegated checkerboard of Italian wine country by the glass and 25 in bottles.

Tastes from around the world

Drinks are served by the bottle, by the glass or half glass, in Champagne cocktails and in tasting flights. The tasting flight feature wines selected from different regions and styles, like The French Connection (all French), The Italian Job (all Italian) or The Backpacker (one glass each from France, Spain and Italy).

The Effervescence kitchen is led by Brenna Sanders and Evan Inrgam, who previously ran the Barrel Proof pop-up L'Americaine. The culinary team created a menu of small plates to pair with champagne. The "bites" include pommes frites, fried chicken thighs, a mushroom tarlez and caviar with creme fraiche and potato chips. In order to keep things interesting, the menu changes weekly.
