Frommer’s, the travel guidebook company, has recently rounded up their list of the best places to visit in 2018.
“Some places were chosen because 2018 will be a banner year for them, and some were picked because the timing has never been better for a cheap vacation,” shared Frommer’s. “Some made the list because they’re ripe for discovery by a wider audience. And some have been named because they’re undergoing tough times and would benefit from more visitors.”
Many of the locations are also great for solo travelers. Kicking off the Frommer’s list is The Lake District in Cumbria, England, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are tons of outdoorsy activities here as well as beautiful scenery to take in.
Malta, located in the heart of the Mediterranean just south of Italy, also made the list for its history, culture, and a slew of new hotels and restaurants popping up.
For those who want to plan a domestic trip, Bisbee, Arizona, is an option to consider for your next solo adventure. “Bisbee is the sort of artist’s hamlet that Key West and Sundance used to be before the jet set moved in -- antique, offbeat, affordable, and genuine.”
