Did you know that Brunch originated in New Orleans? In 1863 Madame Bégué‘s Restaurant served up this first "brunch" and ever since the meal has been a New Orleans institution! A classic New Orleans jazz brunch is a great way to celebrate mom. Head down to the French Quarter and enjoy Court of Two Sisters large outdoor courtyard, or get some Bananas Foster at Brennan's.

Ralph's on the Park jazz brunch is another favorite of ours with its beautiful views of City Park. Want a boozy brunch? Head to Katie's for bottomless mimosas.

Enjoy some Rooftop Drinks

New Orleans has a handful of bars with rooftop views, with a number of them opening within the past year. The Ace Hotel's Alto has a little bit of everything with beautiful views of the CBD and Warehouse District, a pool built for lounging and a grill that offers a range of bites to complement the formidable cocktail menu. Part of the new Troubador hotel, Monkey Board delights guests with sweeping views, live music, and funky artwork.

The Pontchartrain Hotel's Hot Tin has a panorama that is picture-worthy, giving patrons a sweeping view from the Superdome to the Mississippi River. The new Catahoula Hotel's Rooftop Terrace is an incredibly stylish rooftop hangout, complete with tiki bar and live music.

Head to New Orlean’s largest  park, City Park. Walk the Oak tree lined paths, rent bikes and paddleboats, or try your hand at mini golf at City Putt. Watch the barges float down the Mississippi River at Crescent Park in the Marigny/Bywater.

Shop 'Til you Drop
